You may ask yourself, “What in the world would I do with a drone?” There are a lot of ways you can use one of these incredible flying machines. You can record family events and outdoor adventures. You can use it to entertain your kids. You can even use a drone to scout the path ahead of you when you’re hiking. Just use a little bit of imagination and the possibilities are endless! But just to get you started, here are a few drone uses you may not think of.

Prove your neighbor’s dog is using your yard as its own personal bathroom. Okay, folks, we all know how incredibly annoying this can be and that is probably an understatement. Especially, if you don't even own a dog and still have to clean up after one. With your drone, you can catch your neighbor’s mutt in the act and confront the irresponsible homeowner with the video evidence. Then, you can post it on Face Book so your other neighbors will also know who the culprit is.

And speaking of dogs. When your kids want a four-legged pal that you don’t want to end up having to take care of, get them a drone instead. No mess, no fuss. They can pet it and even take it for a walk on a leash. They don't even have to remember to feed it and it won't eat you out of house and home. Just name it spot and you have the perfect loyal family pet, who run away and probably won't get hit by a car. Plus, it will even aggravate the cat.

Wear it as a fashion accessory. Drones are definitely the “in thing” now. So, if you want to be up on the current trends, just have a drone hovering over your head like fashionable head gear and you’re guaranteed that heads will turn. It's even better if it's a drone with LED night lights so you can really make a splash when you go out at night. Just don’t let the propellers get caught in your hair. That would definitely be a fashion faux pas.

Wax the top of your vehicle. I don’t know about you but I have a hard time trying to reach the top of my vehicle wax it. A drone is a handy thing to have to get to the spots you just can’t reach without straining a muscle. Just strap on the wax applicator or buffing towel to the drone, and you’re ready to go. The bonus is that your arm won’t get tired from the endless buffing because the drone is doing all the work and you don't have to pay it.

Use it to crash a wedding. You know when, what you thought was a close friend, gets married and you were sure you would be a part of the wedding party but you’re not included? A drone can help you get your revenge! Bring a drone as your date and you won’t be sorry. Just sneak into the back row of the wedding ceremony venue and have your drone crash the ceremony by going down the aisle and dive-bombing the traitorous friend. Of course, it can also be used as a perfectly good ring-bearer. Just give it a little bow-tie and the ring and it’s ready to go.

Record a documentary about the tops of people’s heads. Everyone tries to be a Steven Spielberg these days but I’m sure they just don’t have that creative instinct and artistic eye that you have. Right? Use your drone to make a groundbreaking documentary that explores the deep and philosophical meaning in viewing the ever-changing tapestry of the tops of people’s heads. Oh, what lessons there are to be learned from viewing people from that perspective. You may even win an award.

You can race them against each other. I don’t know if drone racing is a sport yet (It probably is, though) but you get me in an open field with two drones to compete against each other and I’m gonna have some fun! Matching drone flying skills in a time-trial obstacle course against a friend or friends is a great way to spend an afternoon. Then, you can kick back in the evening, watch the video footage and rag on each other’s drone skills.
