DIY: Simple Paracord Knife Handle Wrap
For this project you’ll need three things:
We chose our Tactical Warrior neck knife for three reasons. The handle leaves something to be desired. It is an easy handle to wrap, and it’s only $3 so anyone can afford one! We wrapped the handle in our Black Savage Paracord. It’s made in the USA and has a 550-lb. rating, so we know it’s tough. I have actually towed my F-150 behind another truck with this cord to test it. It’s TOUGH. So, let’s get to it. Remember to melt the end of the paracord after you’ve cut it to keep it from fraying. You can use a regular lighter, but a butane lighter is easier to control.
When you’re done it will look like this | Start out with one loop around the handle with your tag in front of the loop | Wrap around again and go over your tag. Keep it cinched tight and continue wrapping upward. | Continue paracord wrapping all the way to the top |
Once you’ve reach the top keep wrapping. Then you’ll cinch it as tight as possible and pull your tag under the last loop. | Once you’ve pulled the tag under your last loop, melt it with the lighter then press it down hard on against the cord while it’s hot. This should form a glue that holds it tight. | Tactical Warrior neck knife before paracord wrapping | Another view of the handle when it’s done |
