What began as sketches in his youth blossomed into a full-blown career, spanning everything from fantasy to functional weaponry. It was in 1997 that Kit created his Kit Rae Fantasy Art Brand, which is his line of unique weapons that come with companion art prints of his fantasy paintings. His ongoing collection, “Swords of the Ancients,” has become his most well-known, consisting of medieval inspired fantasy weapons with their own mythology.

Kit Rae Vorthelok Forged Sword Cane

Who doesn’t love a hidden blade? The Vorthelok Forged Sword Cane is a fully functional sword cane version of the popular Vorthelok sword from Kit Rae’s “Swords of the Ancients” collection. With just a push of a hidden button, the 26” 1045 carbon steel blade is released from the wooden shaft. The blade is engraved with Anglecal runes that translate to “Out of Darkness Comes Light.” Atop the cord-wrapped grip is a menacing pommel in the horned skull image of Evruc.

Kit Rae Mithrodin: Dark Edition Fantasy Sword

Another unique find from the “Swords of the Ancients” collection is the Mithrodin: Dark Edition, a special edition of the popular Mithrodin Sword with highly detailed dark iron finish. Ready for any horde battle, this fantasy sword has an armor piercing pommel and 23 3/4” 420 stainless steel blade with etched runes. The handle is wrapped in genuine dark brown leather with dark iron finished metal accents. This sword includes a Kit Rae fantasy art print called “Battling the Horde” that depicts the sword in battle.

Kit Rae Sedethul Sword

Within the Swords of the Ancients mythology, there are three swords of Avonthia, including the Seduthul. The Avonthians were three brothers and sons of a king in ancient times that were charged with imprisoning the deathless spirit of the Dark One in the depths of the earth. As with all Kit Rae pieces, this is another masterful work of art with ornate solid metal hand guard and armor piercing pommel. The sword also has a 33” AUS-6 stainless steel blade and comes with a full color art print.

Kit Rae Avoloch Sword of Enetha Dark Edition

Forged by the dark elf Tethietol within the Swords of the Ancients mythology, the Avoloch Sword of Enetha Dark Edition is a special edition piece with dark features. The sword’s name translates to “solider of steel” and “Avoloch will yield to none but the truth” is engraved down the side blade in Anglecal runes. The side blade is one of three 420 stainless steel false-edged blades with a dark steel finish. The coordinating hilt is also crafted with a dark iron finished metal parts and the handle grip and blade grip are wrapped in genuine maroon leather. A custom fantasy art print is included with the sword.
