A Little History

Since 1991, Bear & Son Cutlery has developed a rich family tradition that includes a skilled and experienced work force. The factory is fully self-contained, doing everything in-house from building its own blanking dies to heat-treating, grinding and assembly, as well as, hand-finishing each knife. Made in America, the knives offer a value and quality that has pushed the company to the forefront of the industry. Although, Bear & Son Cutlery has a wide variety of knives including tactical, bowies, trappers, automatics and multi-tools, the butterfly knives are my favorite. Here's a taste of what the knife company has and, once again, all made in the good ole USA.

Cocobolo Butterfly Knife

Just a classic-looking model, the Cocobolo Butterfly Knife is reminiscent of a traditional pocket knife. Since the handles are made of cocobolo wood, they will stand-up to the wear-and-tear of use and exposure to water. The butterfly knife is also lightweight because of the premium wood handles. It has a black, titanium finished, high-carbon steel blade that's hollow-ground.

Silver Vein Butterfly Knife

Although the Silver Vein Butterfly Knife has extra thick, die cast metal handles, the slot and hole cut-outs reduce the knife's overall weight, making it easy to maneuver. The comfortable-in-your-hand butterfly knife makes expanding and perfecting your flipping skills easy and the silver-vein finish looks awesome. The 4" stainless steel, clip point blade is also hollow ground like the butterfly knife above and it is nice and sharp. Overall, the Silver Vein Butterfly Knife has great action, good looks, and a fantastic price!

India Stag Bone Butterfly Knife

Bear & Son Cutlery can be counted on to offer premium unique materials when it comes to the construction of their knives. The India Stag Bone Butterfly Knife is spectacular with its genuine bone handle scales complemented by polished stainless steel bolsters. The attractive knife also has a stunning, 512-layer Damascus steel clip point blade, also hollow ground.

Butterfly Trainer

When you're just starting out learning to flip a butterfly knife, you really need to use a training tool until you get more proficient with the basics. Bear & Son Cutlery's Butterfly Trainer is perfect for the beginner as it's light and durable. The 4", high-carbon steel blade has balancing holes, which make it easier to flip and the handles are epoxy power-coated for a smooth grip.
