Boromir™ was a proud and strong man who was considered to be one of the most skilled swordsmen of Gondor™. As a captain in the Gondorian army he triumphed leading his army against Sauron™ at Osgiliath, where he deterred a horde of Orcs™. At the Council of Elrond™ Boromir joined the Fellowship on the quest to destroy the One Ring™. In a single moment of weakness Boromir attempted to take the Ring from Frodo™, as he was under its corrupting power. He repented soon after and single-handedly defended the hobbits, Merry and Pippin, from the Uruk-hai™. Even though he fought bravely, Boromir met his demise in a rain of enemy arrows. Boromir’s elegant dagger was a fitting compliment to its owner. It featured a wide, tapered blade with a fuller to reduce weight, yet retain strength. It was effective for slashing against lightly armored opponents and balanced for use as a throwing knife. The handguard was crafted of brass and the grip was wrapped in fine, twisted wire. Like his sword, Boromir’s dagger had a flared steel pommel with a brass ring that added weight to balance the blade. This authentically detailed knife replica is a reproduction of an actual filming prop knife crafted by Weta Workshop of New Zealand and used in THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING™ film presented by New Line Cinema. The knife is 14" long, featuring a metal guard and pommel with an aged steel finish and brass finished accents. The grip is wrapped in finely-twisted stainless steel wire. The blade is crafted of deeply-fullered tempered stainless steel. It is presented with a wood wall display and certificate of authenticity.
