Designed to be a “semi-tactical” EDC, the Benchmade Bronze Phaeton OTF Knife is a double-action, automatic that’s meant to be a handy working knife and also a self-defense knife. Double-action means that when you push the actuator forward, the blade deploys and when you pull the actuator back, the blade retracts. The spine-fire thumb slide opener offers quick blade deployment when draw time is critical. The Phaeton’s single-edge CPMS30V blade has plenty of spine for strength with its diamond-like carbon coating. The bronze, anodized handle is machined from a solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum and subtle texturing along the top scale improves grip on the smooth handle without being abrasive. A stainless steel, reversible deep-carry pocket clip completes the tactical EDC design.
