I bought this as one of the first swords for my collection, and i was extremely pleased. I've had it for years now and it has yet to show any signs that it isn't brand new. It has a good size, length, and weight to it. I don't use it to clear brush or anything, just to sit in my room and look cool, or maybe kill a scorpion every now and then. Overall one of the best purchases I've made, well worth the cheap price of 13$! I recommend!

Great item! Everything about it is perfect. Except one thing - The nylon cord handle. When I swing the sword, the cord wrapping moves out of place a bit. I think it just needs to be tighter. It's not a big problem. Also, the sheath isn't all that great. It doesn't really have sides, the sword can poke out when your trying to slip it in. But I don't care about the sheath, I bought this to hang on my wall. So I'm not including the sheath in my rating. Just the sword, which is completely awesome!

These are my new favorite training weapons. Bud K, You've made a mutha f***ing fan out of me.... Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. Out of all the swords I have bought or made for my collection, this is my favorite purchased sword compared to the collectibles. I bought two, one for myself and one for my best friend for our birthday's 2 years ago. He also prefers to use this one also, and talk about a "scary sharp" edge you can put on one of these! I also extended this pattern to 43 inches overall with a double hand grip made of 1/4 inch spring steel. A little on the heavy side, but it is a brute! For close quarters fighting, this is my favorite along with a homemade knife I used French scrolls to make, with a hand guard and jaw breaker that is 2 ft long over all, 308 stainless steel.

There was a little oil on the blade and sheath but it was easy to buff off. It's somewhat difficult to unsheath because of the blade design but i found the more you pull it out and put it back in the sheath it gets easier, the sheath just has to get the feel for the draw of the blade. It comes with a backstarp but it is not functional. Also the nylon was a little loose but it was nothing some super glue wouldnt fix. Needs a little sharpeing if you are actually going to use it, but otherwise it was completely worth the $13.00 Great Job Bud K

This sword was really, really sharp when it arrived. Sharp enough to cut through the sheath and give me some nice gashes on my fingers. Other than that possible hazard, the sword is really nice. It has a nice weight to it, and you can really do damage to cardboard/wood. I recommend stapling the edges of the sheath though, otherwise you risk your fingers.

well i think this sword looks pretty awesome, and as all of you should know, these knives are only to collect. lets hope you dont buy one to try and do damage to something. i knew it was only to collect, but i still wanted to sharpen it to see.. cant really be sharpened. ive tried, and it dosent really sharpen at all. stays dull, which is a good thing. but the teeth like ridges are pretty sharp. you may have read another review of them cutting the box in half, but only if you hit it right with the ridges. ive also cut the box in half. overall, pretty good collectable. i rate this a 4 out of 5.

Wow. I bought this cuz it kinda looked cute. I am starting an all-round sword collection and made this my 4th installment. Honestly, it's my favorite piece from the moment I took it out of the box. 3 problemos, but minor. 1st, sword is slightly curved. To notice it, i held the sword out and held it flat, curved up slightly. 2nd, the strap on the sheath is WAY too short. and it adjusts to be even shorter. 3rd, the wrapping on the handle comes loose way too easily. A definite must have.

The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is the sheath is too flimsy and is only a problem when putting it back and taking the sword out is not affected. Buy it for looks or buy it for hacking brush it works.

As promised, in the above review, I did return for another purchase of this product. It is no less in quality than the first one. Perhaps too late for a Christmas gift, but one guaranteed to it's recipient very happy. I love it, and plan to order several more for friends. I want to witness the expression on their faces, when they open the packages. The only thing that I do not like about the product is it's name. This is a utilitarian gift that will be much appreciated, and if it for yourself, it will be a friend that will be there if and when you need it. Bud K sells excellent products, priced for giving and reselling.

By the way, this item really looks "cool", especially if you buy 15 or 20 of them and have them hanging in every room in your house, and maybe your basement and garage, and your neighbor's bathroom, and they look even cooler if you run them through the walls of your house with the point sticking out in one room and the hilt sticking out of the wall in the next.
