Amazing

These are fantastic. I got these and on my first throw they stuck. These are a great buy for anyone who wants to get into the throwing world. Although the metal is soft. Even hitting an aluminum can will put a chip or a nick in it. For the price it really doesn't matter though. All in all great quality for a low price. I highly recommend buying this product.

Just got two of these! They are awesome. Just as good as the Hibben's. Only thing I added was some grooves where your thumb and index finger grip the handle. Also a lanyard hole at the tip of the handle. That is what the Gil Hibben axe has. So I upgraded my two! These are awesome for $9.98. Five Stars!

I just got two of these and they are great and fun to throw. I set up a target frame like the guys in the video. Full, shaken not stirred full two Liter soda bottles, cola, orange and cherry. Full spray paint cans from wal-mart ($1.) suspended by strings. What a blast! This great action targets. Stuff spraying everywhere. All you need do is nick one target and whoosh! Cherry soda and red paint is the best. Looks like blood spraying everywhere. It brings out the primitive beast in man! Can't deny it it is inherent to all men! It's a survival thing. Its been around since the stone ages. Kill or be killed I guess ! Have fun, be safe! These are great ! Triumphman.

Small price to pay for this outstanding throwing axe!

Very impressed with how sharp it came. (Could almost shave with it!) Sticks in more than half of the time. Very fun and for the most affordable price I have seen in my life! The sheath shows a great design and never fails. I have thrown tons of weapons before and this is surely the best!

Fantastic

Reviewed By: David Homs (Franksville,  WI)
First off forget the sheath, not really high quality and only good to keep blade from damaging anything while stored. This axe is extremely fun to throw. It took about 3 minutes to find the distance and after that every throw a stick. It does throw like a knife, different than my tomahawks, but it is still a blast. I has a solid feel in the hand and when it leaves it just feels right, the following thunk and ringing of the blade will not fail to bring a smile to your face.

Perfect. Much bigger than you expect. Sheath takes some time to get used to, but very well built. Maybe its just mine, but I bought two and they are kinda magnetic. Literally. But I love them. Haven't used them yet, just got them (really fast shipping) but they look like they can take some abuse.

great throwing axe

Reviewed By: JaBusby (Franklinton,  LA)
I ordered three. They came with uneven edges and an un-sharpened back spike. easily fixed. They fly like a throwing knife not an axe but they stick like a tuning fork. Great hum that I love to hear. All in all a great buy but like i said flies like a knife and unless you have a soft target you ain't sticking on anything but a point.

Amazing

I bought this as my first throwing axe, and I was surprised. When I ordered it, I pictured it as hand sized but after receiving it, I discovered it is a full sized axe! It is a bit dull (was easy to sharpen with a mill file), but still sticks in amazingly. Would definitely buy again!

Great throwing weapon!

Reviewed By: Nathan Bornheim (columbus,  OH)
This little guy is perfect for the inexperienced and experienced thrower alike! It comes to you quite sharp and has a great balance to it! Easy to stick and very durable ( I bent the tip on one, but it was my own fault for throwing at a fence with a dumpster behind it, ((went through the crack and hit the metal dumpster)) but I bought two because the price was so great! The second one has held up for hours of throwing so far, so as long as you don't do something stupid like I did lol this axe will last for a long time and you simply can't be the quality you get for the price!

Great buy

Reviewed By: William Chester (Metairie,  LA)
I bought this because of the price and positive reviews it received and have been so impressed that I came back to write one of my own. This sticks the majority of the time and even when it doesn't it will leave a big dent in my target, really love the design of this thing. I just bought another one for a friend who loves the outdoors and may buy more in the future.

Really Impressed

Reviewed By: Cody (Des Moines,  IA)
As others said, was not expecting much from this guy considering the price, and even more so when I unboxed it since it is thin in comparison to my other throwers i have bought. I couldn't have been more wrong. Not the sharpest edge, but boy does it stick. My only issue with it is that I could get sloppy with distances considering it's just as hard to not stick it, as it is to stick my single point knives. Would be very nice for a beginner to help them with consistency of force in the throw, but would still need to work on distance training if you are going to throw something with less points on it.

WOW

Reviewed By: James Fickling (Boone,  NC)
I bought this recently simply for the price; I wanted something cheap to practice with. However, the product I received is ten times what I expected. This little beast is almost invincible and it performs unlike any other. When you get a perfect stick it hums like a tuning fork and brings out pieces of the target when retrieved. I plan on buying six more for my bandolier and I'm getting them all from BudK, you guys are the BEST.

Great Product!

This Throwing Axe is super durable and looks great too. The handle is a little ruff on your hands, but a quick handle wrap fixes that easily. It throws really great and come fairly sharp. I recommend this product to any one with seven dollars.

I wasn't expecting much for what I paid, but I was wrong. This axe is just about indestructible. I threw it once, missed the target, and it hit a metal building... and it stuck in about an inch through the galvanized steel. There was no damage to the axe whatsoever. I will be buying from Budk again, I am very impressed with this product!

Great product

I've spent a lot of time looking for the perfect throwing weapon and i have been carefully watching reviews to get a flawless product. This axe is what i chose and its great. within minutes of purchace i got the axe to stick into tree after tree. the axe takes no damage from missed hits on the handle or anywhere else, but i like to clean it every time i use it because after sticking into trees, there is sometimes pices of wood and bark still on the axe, but thats no issue. i give it five stars for being without a doubt amazing!

Incredible Fun!

Reviewed By: Nick (Winfield,  IL)
This is a terrific throwing axe! The blade is pretty sharp, it has a nice weight, and it is one very solid piece of steel. I call the un-misser because it always sticks into the target. The sheath had a broken rivet upon arrival but it is only a slight drawback considering the fantastic price!

Great

I have one of these throwing axes, first off let me say this robert shifflet is one of the most brilliant designers of knives i have seen in a long time. His triple lightning set is also great for the novice to begin with for the throwing trade. The axe is well balanced and easy to throw. You have to work with the aim a bit, because it is a lot different then throwing knives. If you do not get it right away stick with it, thowing is a great hobby and it is a great stress releiver. Seriously though if you want a great axe for throwing with out breaking the bank. BUY THIS AXE. P.S. make sure you practice safely when using these throwing knives. They do bounce back from time to time.
