Better than I thought a gas mask could be

Comfortable, fits with a nice seal, better visibility than I thought I'd have with any gas mask! Have not tested, but seems to be in decent working order. Will need to buy more filters, of course, but that's to be expected. They do expire, after all.

This gas masks works very nicely. It is very comfortably. I just got it today and i am impressed. The filter works great it is worth buying, but can someone tell me how to work the drinking straw.

This is an awesome item! One of the coolest things I have ever owned. Was very impressed as far as quality and looks go. After some adjusting, it fit my head snug and comfortably. If you have long hair, you may want to make sure that it is on the outside of the gas mask so it makes a snug fit. Very happy with it.

As soon as I got it out of the box and put it on, after adjusting some of the straps, it was a great fit. The drinking tube works just fine and fits. It is quite useful and very affective for having bonfires. I'm also going to use it for a Halloween costume this year. Great buy for $20.

This gas mask is great. Possibly the best $20 I've ever spent. My uncle is a police officer, and I told him to lock me in a room with tear gas. I lasted for 2 hours before the gas started to bother me. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a cheap Halloween costume, or just to anyone who wants to prepare for the next nuclear war.

Amazing Mask, the filter it came with was ready out of the box. Today I changed my pet's cage and smelt nothing, just pure clean air. When I was playing paintball, people feared my mask, very unique look compared to the generic paintball masks and easily hose off the paint when done. Highly recommend it for pet cleaning, paintball or later on Nuclear Fallout.

Spare filters

Sweet mask. Using mine for airsoft with a CamelBak so I don't need to take it off for water. You can get spare filters at MaineMilitary for $7.50 a pop. Throw away the filter it comes with, they get toxic after around twenty years of sitting, even if they're sealed.

Awesome gas mask...exactly like one in the head shop...all that was bad about the shipping I suppose is that the air filter canister is a little dinged up...possibly still works right...but I plan on using a different filtration attachment on it tho...aside from the slightly damaged canister this is an awesome buy and most definitely worth the 20 bucks compared to the 55 at the store...

A really sweet looking gas mask awesome for air soft wars if you want to look military like. Works great strait out of the package, fit almost any size head and gets really tight for a snug fit.

where can i find spare filters for this for a good cheap price? other than an old filter this is a great mask is has great facial coverage and goes well with a hood. if this does not fit you than tuck a hood over the sides of your face and forehead and then put on the mask it helps.

fits more comfortably than any of my other gas masks, but the water drinking tube doesn't fit my cambak. might fit a...mil spec canteen than has nozzles for gas masks like this

This gas mask comes with a standard 40mm NATO NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical) Filter but the shelf life of these filters is only about 10 years so I recommend going and getting another (because knowing these one's they've been laying around a while) which is not hard to find on another website real cheap. But all in all it was a great purchase happy I could get this mask so cheap.

Just got this today and works good. Had a few dents on the filter but overall in good working order. Going to order more. This filter was sealed and would be able to tell if seal was broken so filter is new and fresh. Need to find out about replacement filters though.

Suprising for the price

I was completely surprised by this mask. When I bought it, I thought it was going to be a gimmick mask that wouldn't really do a good job. I actually bought it as a part of a costume for Halloween later this year. I had low expectations. Maybe you can imagine my astonishment when I put the mask on and was able to properly clear it and establish a seal, both with and without the filter on. I was also pleased to find that while it's not the ideal shape for my face, it still fits and like I said, makes a seal. The straps are of sufficient quality to hold the mask for now, but I will have to see how they hold up for later.

I got a couple of these for me and my wife. Heavy duty material and provides a good fit and seal even with my facial hair. Well made and is easy to breathe while wearing. The filter being in front means you can lower your chin all the way to your chest, whereas those with the filter underneath makes movement limited. The only improvement I would make to this mask would be to have the eyepieces triangular shaped so the points are close together thus giving grater visibility. As it is if you have a small head such as a woman, the wide area between the eyepieces makes seeing more difficult as you can see through one opening at a time...not a good thing if you're aiming a gun or use both eyes open when shooting a bow.

Let me warn you now, THIS IS NOT A FUNCTIONAL, and the filter is almost defiantly toxic (the first two numbers of the serial number indicate the year. If it is more then five years old, I wouldn't risk it, though I'm sure quite how toxic they get.) Despite it's uselessness, it looks very cool, however, not being able to wear the filter really diminishes this, though you can just buy newer ones. It would cost $60-80 to buy a functioning version, so for looks, I would buy this and a newer filter, but for functionality, you need more than a $20 mask.
