Quality replica
Reviewed By: Gunny 81 (Westland , MI)
Being a owner of a actual 1918 Trench knife and now the owner of the replica I got to compare them side by side. And this knife is amazingly close, obviously its antiqued for the old worn look. And isn't going to be made out of the same metals but for $20 its expected. All and all this is a great knife, but was far from razor shape from factory. Nice point, but takes a edge very easily. Remember folks its a replica, not really intended for function. Keep it what it is, a quality show piece. And also on finger size, I wear a size 10 1/2 ring, and can get my fingers snugly into it. So if you have big hands might be a tight fit. Only true flaw I can see in it, is US rep. of U.S. forces trench knife carrying a made in china stamp on the blade, lol Few passes of the sheath will fix that :) But this is a true piece of history replicated and I could only imagine the horror felt by the combatant in hand to hand with this truly terrifying weapon that can destroy at every angle.

Just got mine today. Great what can I say. Its better than what I thought it would be. Not as sharp as it could be but some stoning and it could be. Going to order another and modify it to fit my big a** hands. Just can't get my fingers in the knuckle holes all the way. But I do have big hands.

I love this thing. I took the blade out, fine sanded and grinded off the hand guard and made it so i can keep it in my back pocket. I couldn't pack it around with that big a** knife. But I ended up giving it away to a friend today. but I will buy another one soon.

Nice reproduction
Reviewed By: Steven Russell (Walker, MI)
Overall a nice knife. The blade comes fairly dull, but with a bit of work with a draw sharpener, I got a razor edge on both edges. The metal sheath is light weight, but fits well. I use this as a home defense knife kept under my mattress. Three defensive uses for this are; the blade, the knuckle punch and the scull crusher on the end of the handle. I pity the loser who tries to enter my home!

Trench Knife
Reviewed By: boboman1000 (Oxford, MI)
The knife in general is very good, the only down side I can see is how the knife is connected to the skull crusher which is also a bolt to hold it in place, and is only a thin rod that the bolt connects to. You could fill the inside with super glue to hold it in place if you had to though, overall very good knife.

don't over tighten nut
Reviewed By: randomwriter (Indianola, IA)
I got this knife on May 11, 2010. when I took it out of the box, it had been cold out and my fingers were clumsy. I tried to put in the sheath and accidentally stabbed my finger. Make sure you get the knife in the sheath or it will make you bleed. I forgot to mention not to over tighten the skull crusher nut. I was tightening it and I over tightened it and the screw that held in place snapped. I will be ordering a new one if budk warranties it. Overall good knife 4/5. Nut problem arose of my own carelessness. Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. We have updated the review to reflect the appropriate spelling.

Decent Clone
Reviewed By: Don (Worland, WY)
It looks good and is made of OK quality materials. Like most of these clones, the blade is loose in the grip even with the skull crusher nut tightened all the way down. Epoxy in the grip fixed that. Good knife that can be used for its intended purpose. The sheath looks the part but wouldn't hold up under use. Together, they make a very nice display item.

Par Replica...

The two reviews below me are actually very accurate; good job guys. I just wanted to say that when I got this knife, I was a bit more immature than I am now and got it for fun, but now I see little practical use for it unless you are a WWI collector. Otherwise you might as well pop out the blade and use it as brass knuckles.
