Easily the most impressive knife in my collection. Sturdy. Amazing blade. The pattern on the handle isn't as dark as it looks here, but who cares? This knife is simply awesome, especially considering the price.

A Big Bowie

Reviewed By: D.C. (Shelby,  NC)
If your looking for a "big" bowie knife, you've found it. This thing is huge! Although the price is cheap, the knife ain't. It's well built and has a nice, sharp edge. I wouldn't recommend it for small hands or weak wrists. This bowie is big and heavy. In my back yard, I used it to slice through some tree limbs and didn't even break a sweat. It'll get the job done. The sheath is this products only weak spot. If your too rough with it, you'll probably wind up looking for another one or having to make your own. However, I'm giving this knife five stars because this blade simply blew my mind. If your looking for a "big" bowie to use around the house or in the woods, you might as well go ahead and get this one.

Long Lasting Blade

Reviewed By: BladeMaid (Antioch,  IL)
I've had this knife for about a year and a half now. I've only done one thing to the blade since buying it, and that was right when i got it, i sharpened it. My business specializes in cleaning, appraising and sharpening blades, hence the name Blade Maid Sword Services, and after the initial sharpening, it hasn't gone dull since. it slices cardboard as easily as it field-dresses deer. just like butter. the only complaint that i would have is that the two rivets that hold the belt strap to the sheath have started to weaken and are pulling through the leather sheath. so i will need to replace the sheath soon, as it is beyond repair. I'm going to chalk that one up to age however, so i'm still giving it 5 stars. Its a great knife that will last and one that i will use for many more years to come. My son will inherit this knife when i'm done with it (all though i don't see that happening any time soon. lol)

Well done Timber. A heavy blade with full tang construction, hard wood handle with brass fittings. This hunk of steel is worth so much more than what you would pay for it. If I were put in the jungle I would want this blade with me. Even the scabbard is premo. A worthwhile investment. Thanks

Reviewed By: Christopher Washburn (Las Cruces,  NM)
Hefty! The fit and finish of this knife far exceeded my expectations. The blade geometry is well done, the fittings are solid with no hint of rattle, and the handle fits my hands well. The weight forward balance is perfect for what the knife is intended for, clearing brush, chopping limbs and butchering game. And, to top it all off, it came fairly sharp right out of the box. The sheath isn't great, but I usually make my own anyway, so it doesn't matter. This would still be an excellent knife at two to three times the price!

I looked for a traditional looking Bowie for some time and I received it today. All the reviews cannot convey the impression that this knife gives you in person. Well built to chop trees. The steel to make this knife costs more then the price plus you get a very nice leather sheath. Do not hesitate to order this Bowie. Shalom, Barry.

This Bowie is sharp with a thick heavy blade. It looks good and the other Timber Rattler Bowies are just as great. Buy them all. Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. Reviewed By: MG (Joliet,  IL)
This the second of two bowie knives I purchased from the Timber Rattler Series. As with the first, I am again extremely pleased with this knife. I will give this knife also only 5 stars because there isn't a 6 star rating. As with the other TR knife, the sheath, while good quality, could be improved upon by making the belt loop as wide as the sheath body and perhaps stitching it instead of riveting it. Overall, this knife appears to be excellent quality for the purchase price, heavy duty, full tang, fit and finish, etc. I would recommend it to anyone considering purchasing a large bowie knife.

I just bought several knives, and this one has to be the best of the lot! It's big and heavy enough to qualify as a short sword. Still, it's not one I'd buy simply to prove I had the biggest bowie. It really does seem like a quality blade. The handle is well put together, tight, and with a smooth finish. Even the sheath is nicely decorated, well-fitted, and seemingly sturdy, which is very unusual for knives in this price range. As I write this review, there's one for sale on eBay for $42, so this is definitely a steal at BudK!

I received the Outlaw Bowie yesterday and I am very impressed with the amount of steel in this blade at ¼” thick makes it the finest knife in my collection. This is what I thought Jim bowie‘s knife must have looked like or at least felt like. I have bought other Bowie knifes over the years and this is without question the best yet. I would have been proud to have carried this in Viet Nam it feels like it could open up the side of a tank without any trouble at all. This would make an excellent combat knife for self defense. This is a “MUST HAVE” tool for anyone who is an outdoors type of person

Man, this knife is incredible, especially for the price. It is a MONSTER!!! Yet it's well balanced and feels good in your hand. The workman ship is excellent as are the appointments. And this baby will cut your fingers off if you're not careful, it says "surgical steel" and it means it in every sense of the phrase--it's sharper than h***. We now know that those Pakistanis are tough and know their weapons. This baby is a tool, a weapon, just a very cool thing to have in your collection. The sheath is your typical run of the mill cheap leather item, but it serves the purpose and the knife fits hand to glove. Get this one if you are a Bowie fan--old Jim would have loved this one.
