great buy

Great knife for the price! It was sharp when I got it, i thought the plastic handle was going to shatter when i got it but it turns out the plastic is extremely durable. This knife has been thrown, dropped, and dropped into a river (thank god I found it). This knife is just an all around great buy. all i had to do was replace the matches. Thanks budk!

Overall a great buy. Blade was sharp, lots of goodies. Might replace a couple things, but definitely worth the price.

good knife for the money! handy little nick nacks and such but the harpoon was totally dull... the blade is pretty sharp and overall a nice knife! it is kind of like a baby knife in a way it seems like it nothing to brag about but is very useful when camping and such!

this knife is really cool. everything fits nicely in the sheath case. the harpon is sweet but i had to sharpen it myself. the wire cutter did not work to well though. i did swich some of the stuff out for other things i thought more useful and i added some things to the sheeth, wich is great that this knife alows you to exchange tools in the try. over all this knife is really good.

Black Survival Knife

For $15, this is a pretty good knife. However, you quickly find out why it is only $15. The handle is plastic and the blade is made of cheap steel with a crap coating. The knife actually cuts fairly well, however, and the saw is decent, but it most likely won't cut through anything you couldn't just break off. The plastic sheath is nice. The sharpening stone is decent. Probably the worst thing on this knife is the slingshot. It is terrible. I may go buy a replacement arm to put in there from Walmart.

okay

I bought this knife awhile ago. The knife itself is okay. It's sharp but the black coating on the knife makes it hard to sharp, in my opinion. The harpoon is indeed not sharpened. The sling shot is rather crudely made. The handle is plastic which makes it light but very fragile. The survival accessories are great, however.

blade

the blade come sharp and is easy to resharpen but the saw on it is not good at all, i dont like the plastic handle, i've already shipped the hilt, but it being a hollowed out handle is very useful for hiding the survival equipment, the slingshot is not good at all the harpoon is easy to sharpen with a sharpening stone 3/5 good for the low price

dont waste your money!

I bought this knife about 2 years ago, it is a very cheap knife. Yes it is sharp, when it is shipped but it is a very soft metal that is easy to sharp, but it is easy to dull, bend, chip, etc. The harpoon is a even softer metal and you can not fasten it to a stick in a survival situation. I'm a chef by trade but my real passion is Wilderness Survival & Primitive Living Skills. This knife is NOT for that kind of use. The sling shot sucks, the fishing line is only about 5lb test, the hooks break easy, its just very poorly put together. Everything else on the other hand I have bought from BudK never broke, bent, chipped etc, but that is after I realized 420, 440, and Stainless steel is cheap metal.
