I collect mid 1800's reproduction pistols, nothing big deal. they sent me the Pietta reproduction Colt 1851Engraved Navy in steel with the 'ivory' handle. That was what I Hoped for but based on what I saw online I would have been happy with any of their reproductions. It arrived very fast. Still wrapped in the shipping plastic inside the box with the shipping oil still on it. The box and all paperwork as well as the pistol are all in perfect condition. I am very pleased with every aspect of this very smooth transaction. Will be doing more business with them.

I also received a 1851 .44 caliber engraved "navy" with the wood handles, box said deluxe on it which as far as i can tell is the white handled one for $409 that one of the other reviewers received. However, I also used a first time buyers coupon for a good amount of. All in all it was cheaper than anywhere else. Unfortunately I had no idea how impossible it is to get #10 percussion caps. I'm looking into having to make them at this point.

I received a fully engraved 1851with white grip, I made a modification and now she is beautiful.

I received the 1851 Navy Engraved. Great condition. I thought the mystery box would be a .44 for some reason. My mistake totally, it's a .36. Being a mystery box they will not take returns or give refunds if your unhappy in any way.

I own two steel framed revolvers. 1851 navy and 1858 army. Both purchased from budk and they are great. I figured I would see what I get with this offer. I received a 1851 engraved brass revolver. It's is ok. Needs some finishing as action is grinding and needs polishing. The brass has some pitting. When cleaned up it will be nice. The engraving is very good. My recommendation is if you want a great shooter. Buy the 1851 navy in steel. If you collect and want to see what you get, give it a try. After cleaning it up, it will be a display piece. Of course I will shoot it a few times first

I recieved a 1851 navy steel frame non engraved in 36 cal plane jane not really a discounted price from what you could just buy maybe 4 bucks nothing wrong with the pistol what so ever that i can see but was expecting at least some sort of deluxe or engraved piece buy the description
